Terms of Service
Last updated: February 20, 2026
Welcome to CODORA. By accessing or using our AI-powered gamified coding learning management system, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the CODORA platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.
2. Description of Service
CODORA is an educational platform that provides coding practice, automated grading, live collaborative coding sessions, quizzes, gamification features, AI tutoring, and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) analytics for academic institutions.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
3.2 Account Types
- Student: Access courses, submit assignments, take quizzes, participate in sessions
- Instructor: Create and manage courses, assignments, quizzes, and live sessions
- Teaching Assistant: Assist instructors with course management and grading
- Administrator: Full platform management including users, settings, and analytics
3.3 Account Security
You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify your administrator immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We implement security measures including rate limiting, account lockout, and secure password hashing.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit code that is intentionally malicious, harmful, or designed to exploit the system
- Attempt to bypass security measures, rate limits, or access controls
- Share your account credentials with others
- Plagiarize code or academic work from other students
- Interfere with other users' sessions or submissions
- Use the AI tutor to generate submissions for academic dishonesty
- Exploit the gamification system (XP, badges) through artificial means
- Attempt to access data belonging to other users without authorization
5. Code Submissions
Code you submit is executed in sandboxed environments for grading purposes. You retain ownership of your code but grant CODORA a license to store, display, and evaluate it within the educational context. Instructors and authorized staff may review your submissions.
6. Live Sessions
During live collaborative coding sessions, your coding activity, keystrokes, and behavior may be monitored and logged for educational assessment purposes. Activity metrics (typing speed, idle time, code changes) are collected to help instructors evaluate participation.
7. AI Features
AI-generated content (explanations, questions, code suggestions) is provided for educational purposes and may not always be accurate. You should verify AI-generated content before relying on it. AI tutoring sessions are not stored permanently unless explicitly saved.
8. Grading & Assessment
Automated grading is performed by code execution engines (Piston/Judge0) and AI evaluation. While we strive for accuracy, automated grades may be reviewed and adjusted by instructors. External assessment scores (CIA, ESE) uploaded by instructors are subject to the institution's grading policies.
9. Gamification
XP, badges, rewards, and leaderboard positions are earned through legitimate academic activity. We reserve the right to revoke gamification rewards obtained through exploitation or unfair means.
10. Intellectual Property
The CODORA platform, including its design, features, and documentation, is the intellectual property of CODORA. Course content created by instructors remains their intellectual property. Student submissions remain the student's intellectual property.
11. Privacy
Your use of CODORA is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in academic dishonesty, or at the request of your institution's administrator. Upon termination, your access to the platform will be revoked.
13. Disclaimer
CODORA is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the accuracy of AI-generated content. Academic outcomes depend on individual effort and are not guaranteed by platform usage.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CODORA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, academic standing, or grades.
15. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
17. Contact
For questions about these Terms, please contact your institution's CODORA administrator.
